Looking for a super easy recipe to make for your kids? a dirt cake with gummy worms is so easy you can make it WITH your kids. Its perfect for a party.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 (8 ounce package) of cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 (3.5 ounce) packages of instant vanilla pudding

3 1/2 cups of milk

1 (12 ounce) container of whipped topping (cool whip type)

32 ounces of chocolate sandwich cookies (oreo type: I use the kind with chocolate filling)

1 cup gummy worms

1/2 cup candy coated chocolate rocks (they have at Walmart)

Directions:

1. Chop cookies very fine in a food processor or blender

2. Mix butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl.

3. Make pudding per directions, sit aside for a few minutes.

4. Add whipped topping and pudding to cream cheese mixture, mix well.

5. Layer chocolate cookies then cream cheese/pudding mixture in serving dish. Start and end with cookie layer.

6. Add candy rocks and gummy worms to top.

7. Chill until ready to serve.

You can often find kids plastic play wheel barrel and plastic shovel in the sand toys section of your local Wally World and used that to serve it. This makes a perfect serving piece for the dirt cake. It makes enough for 10-12 kids. Or you can half the recipe. Or on the flip side, you can double the recipe to make a bigger version for a larger event like a birthday party.

Diabetic Treats For Chocolate Lovers

One of the most dreaded things about learning one is diabetic is the idea of giving up sweets, especially wonderful chocolate sweets for us chocoholics! But giving up sweets is not necessary. Here are some great chocolate desserts especially for diabetics. And guess what! Others will enjoy them, too. Peanut Butter Brownie Cake is made with a reduced sugar brownie mix. The cup of peanut butter will counteract what little sugar you do get in a piece (yes, one piece a day) and it also uses sugar-free hot fudge topping. Delicious! The Mini-Chocolate Cheesecakes are a little more complicated to make but they are well worth the effort. The No-Flour Chocolate Cake is quite different and very good with some sugar-free ice cream. So indulge your chocolate sweet tooth anytime.

PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIE CAKE

1 box (12.35 oz) Reduced Sugar Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix

1/3 cup vegetable oil

3 tbsp water

1 large egg

3/4 tsp almond extract

1 cup crunchy peanut butter

1 jar (11 3/4 oz) Sugar-Free Hot Fudge Topping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8-inch round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

Prepare brownie mix as directed on the box using the oil, water, and egg listed above. Stir in almond extract and peanut butter until well blended. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake 30-35 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely in the pan. Place cake on a serving platter. Just before serving, stir the Hot Fudge Topping until smooth. Spread over the cake top and sides. Using a frosting spatula, make swirl designs on the top for a pretty presentation.

Note: If you have them available, a few fresh berries in the center of the cake makes a very pretty presentation. A few chopped peanuts scattered over the top is another option.

MINI CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKES

1 cup 1% cottage cheese

4 oz Neufchatel (reduced fat) cream cheese

1/2 cup Equal Sugar-Lite

1/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder

1 large egg

1 egg white

2 tsp vanilla extract

pinch salt

1 oz sugar-free chocolate wafers, crushed to fine crumbs (usually about 4 wafers)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray three (4-inch) mini springform pans with nonstick cooking spray, or use six (4 oz) custard or souffle cups and don't spray. Put a kettle of water on to boil to prepare a water bath.

In a food processor or blender, puree cottage cheese, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed, until absolutely smooth, 2-3 minutes. Add the cream cheese, Equal, cocoa, egg, egg white, vanilla and salt; pulse, scraping sides, until just smooth. Pour into prepared pans.

Pull the oven rack partway out. Place a 9 x 13-inch baking pan on the rack and add the filled cake pans. Carefullly pour water into the baking pan, up to 1/2 inch. Bake until the cakes are just starting to pull away from the sides of the pans, about 35 minutes for the custard cups and 40 minutes for the springform pans. Cool completely on a rack; then cover with plastic and refrigerate until chilled through, at least 2 hours or preferably, overnight.

To unmold the cakes, release the spring and use a wide spatula to transfer the cakes to small plates. Press the cookie crumbs around the sides of the cakes. Garnish with fresh raspberries. Serve with a spoon.

NO-FLOUR CHOCOLATE CAKE

Butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray

4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped

3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup ground walnuts or almonds

1/2 cup SPLENDA granular

1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream

1/2 cup egg substitute

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9-inch springform pan with the cooking spray.

In a cold medium glass or stainless steel mixing bowl, beat egg whites on high-speed of electric mixer until stiff glossy peaks form. Microwave chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl on high for 1-2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Scrape chocolate into a large mixing bowl. Stir in cocoa, nuts, SPLENDA, sour cream, egg substitute, and vanilla extract. With a spatula, gently fold in egg whites. Spoon batter into the prepared pan and gently smooth out the top. Bake for 30 minutes and cool. Loosen edges of pan and remove cake. Cake will deflate--don't panic! Serve with a scoop of sugar-free iced cream, if desired.

Robert Bosch, founder of Bosch Group of Companies started to launch household appliances in 1933. Tangible quality and perfect technology for an improved lifestyle: these are the benefit of many years of experience and characteristic of Bosch. From extractor hoods to ovens, fridges, freezers, dishwashers and washing machines, Bosch offers a wide spectrum of reliable appliances to ease household chores.

"It has always been an unbearable thought to me that someone could inspect one of my products and find it inferior in some way. For that reason I have consistently tried to produce products which can withstand the closest scrutiny- products which prove themselves to be superior in every respect", Robert Bosch 1861-1942. The Bosch name has always meant a guarantee of both quality and reliability and remain committed to ensuring uncompromising performance and great design is built into every single appliance produced.

Coffee plays an important role in many societies throughout the world today. From the coffeehouses of the 16th century to modern day cafes, coffee has had a profound effects on the lifestyle of people from all walks of life.

From sleek and simple one touch button to the automatic variable brewing system, Bosch coffee makers come from a variety of features and colors to fit everyone's needs. From a small espresso to 2 large cups of cappuccino, simply select the intensity of your grind. Then, with a touch of a button, the Benvenuto's revolutionary AROMASWIRL System extracts the flavor from each bean for the richest tasting coffee you've ever experienced. The patented AROMASWIRL system completely engulfs each coffee ground with water in a pressurized chamber, for the most authentic-tasting coffee you've ever experienced from a home machine. At just the touch of a button, the Benvenuto Gourmet coffee maker grinds the beans and brews the coffee within seconds. A frothing attachment for cappuccino, instant hot water for tea or hot chocolate adds to this amazing machine's capabilities. To top it all off, the Benvenuto automatically cleans itself when needed. Fresh, flavorful coffee, cappuccino or espresso just like they make in the Italian cafes.

The external feature of the Benvenuto is just as impressive as the internal. These automatic coffee machines let you customize how much coffee you brew with its easy-to-use selector dials- from a single 1 oz cup to two 6 oz cups - and gives you the option of choosing from 6 different strength settings. After selecting the volume and strength of your brew, just press the Caf button, and the Benvenuto's grinder goes to work disintegrating the beans contained in the 8oz bean hopper to the grind setting you've chosen. The Benvenuto will even accommodate preground coffee in its 7-14 gram capacity bypass doser. The difference between B20 and B30 is that the former has a unique red indicator panel that tells you what function the machine is performing. While the Bosch B30s have an LED display screen that does everything the red indicator of B20 tells so.

A one-cup wonder, the Tassimo Hot Beverage System brews exceptional coffee and other hot drinks in a flash! With Tassimo's fully-automated operation, all you have to do is insert a T-disc and push the programming button to select your desired brew and drink strength. With an adjustable and removable cup stand, the it can make real milk lattes, cappuccinos, coffee, cremas, espresso, hot chocolate, and teas to fit most cups and travel mugs.

Today's choices, though arguably more appetizing, are no less confounding: Ground or whole bean? Fiery or frosty? Americano, cappuccino, espresso, macchiato, mocha, or latte? Try to read on Bosch coffee maker reviews and you will be assured of high quality, intelligent, more enjoyable and stylish products.

How to Care For Your Cutlery

!9# How to Care For Your Cutlery

[if ]
[endif]

Cutlery is an everyday essential object, that you need to be sure you keep in good quality in order to make sure it wears well. All too often, people will leave cutlery they used for dinner lying on their plate for a long time until they wash up, then just shove their cutlery in the washing up bowl, rinse each piece (or let a dishwasher do the work) and leave them out to dry in the air.

This is not good protocol for your cutlery however, and over time it will wear down and become marked. Stainless steel cutlery is the type most people will own, but the word stainless just means that it is stain resistant, not that it cannot stain at all. If you leave corrosive or acidic substances on it, which can be common if you leave your cutlery lying around after food preparation and eating, then it will affect the metal.

Ideally you want to rinse off cutlery as soon as it had been used. Even if you do not wash it fully straight away, just make sure any substances are removed from the metal's surface. If you use a dishwasher, make sure that you separate cutlery made of different metals and materials. If you do not do this, the metal can become pitted because of particles and will lose its quality.

If you hand wash your cutlery then just use common sense really. Make sure you use hot water (it kills germs and cuts through substances and possibly staining materials more quickly) and a good quality washing up liquid. You can find many on the shelves at the supermarket, so make sure you look for a liquid that suits you (antibacterial, more economical as you have to use less, etc). Wash over the cutlery with a washcloth or soft sponge and then rinse it in hot water, before setting on or in a drying stand for a few moments.

Once you have washed up then dry your cutlery straight away with a soft cotton cloth. Make sure you wash your tea towels regularly, as they can easily end up with cooking ingredients and suchlike on them without your realising, thus meaning it may then be transferred to your freshly washed cutlery and dishes.

By making sure you clean and rinse your cutlery in this way you will avoid water marks and stains. If you find you do have discolouration or any other problems with your cutlery then buy some basic metal polish and simply buff them up until they look good again. You can also buff the pieces regularly to enhance shine.
